KARLSTAD, SWEDEN - DECEMBER 26: A mosque in the southern Swedish city of Karlstad was attacked by people whose identity could not be clarified yet. The Saffle mosque in Saffle town, belonging to the Islamic Cultural Center of Sweden near the city of Karlstad in south Sweden was attacked, according to news broadcasted by SVT Television. Chairman of the cultural center, Abdihakem Adan, described it to the TV channel as a "terrible attack". “Windows were broken and the walls were hit by explosives reinforced with bb pellets,” Adan said. "Average of 100 people come to the mosque and pray every day,” he added. The police have completed the preliminary investigation, and are suspecting a hate crime. An investigation by the Islamic Cooperation Council in Sweden revealed in 2015 that seven out of 10 mosques in the country had been attacked.
