CLEAN:Northern Cyprus heads to the polls for Presidential elections

Cyprus hosts one of the world's few divided capitals, Nicosia, has been divided since Turkish troops occupied its northern third in 1974 in response to a Greek Cypriot coup aimed at uniting the island with Greece. Northern Cyprus, which is recognised only by Turkey, is preparing to elect a new president on Sunday. The result could have major repercussions on talks to reunite the country.
