Slumdog Millionairre Child Stars Face Mumbai Slum Eviction

Earlier this month the shanties of the Slumdog Millionaire child actors Azharuddin Ismail, 11 and Rubiana Ali, 9 in the Garib Nagar, Central Mumbai were demolished as apart of slum clearance by the Civic Authorities. Ismail's family have since rebuilt their shanty but still face eviction. The two child stars are waiting to move as each has been promised new homes, one by the MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) and the other by 'Slumdog Millionaire' Team's 'Jai Ho' Trust.
