NBC NEWS -- US Marine Memorial Service -- Pictured: A memorial service held at Camp Bastion, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, on April 22, 2008, for two US Marines KIA, First Sgt. Luke Mercardante and Cpl. Kyle Wilks, who were killed by an IED (improvised explosive device) on a convoy from Kandahar Air Field to Camp Bastion on April 15, 2008. The service was held at 0700 local (ET plus 8-1/2 hours) and attended by officers and members of the logistics battalion that the two Marines came from.
