DIYARBAKIR, TURKEY - 2024/10/13: A large number of police officers are seen on duty in Diyarbakir to prevent the 'Great Freedom Rally'. Kurdish political parties and organizations were barred from organizing a 'Great Freedom Rally' in Diyarbakir, calling for the release of Abdullah Ocalan, leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), imprisoned for 25 years, and for a democratic solution to the Kurdish question. Hundreds gathered in front of AZC Plaza and attempted to march to Istasyon Square but were blocked by police. At least six people were detained during the rally.
