Iraqis enjoy the day at Baghdad Island Amusement Park, on the second day of Eid al-Adha or the Feast of the Sacrifice, marking the end of the Muslim Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, on November 28, 2009. Baghdad Island, constructed in the 1980's, was partially opened officially yesterday with visitors entering the grounds for free. It is situated north of Baghdad and bordered on one side by the Tigris River; the once renowned pleasure spot featured restaurants, a bowling alley, an amusement arcade, football pitches, tennis courts and holiday flats among its amenities.
