In the middle, Iphigenia is carried toward the sacrifical altar by Ulysses and Dyomede; on the left Agamemnon, Iphigenia's father, is completely covered by a veil and protects his face with a hand in order to hide his sorrow, and leans against a pillar at which top is places a statue of Artemis with two deers at her sides; on the right, the minister who is going to celebrate the sentence brings the instruments in his right hand; in the upper part of the fresco, from clouds emerge the goddess Artemis on the right and a nymph who keeps a female deer on the left: the animal will be sacrified in place of the princess; from Casa del Poeta tragico.
