The Company Law Board (CLB) has approved of IL&FS becoming the new promoters and taking management control of MIL on August 31, 2009. In line with the order passed by the CLB, IL&FS intends to purchase 22.51 percent of Equity Shares in MIL in order to protect the operations and in infrastructure venture interests of MIL, once owned by the disgraced Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju and his son Teja Raju.
