Haitian President Rene Preval looks at French President Nicolas Sarkozy (L) during a joint press conference on the grounds of the Presidential Palace in Port-Au-Prince on February 17, 2010. Sarkozy was in Haiti for a brief visit of the battered Caribbean nation. A deadly quake struck Haiti on January 12, 2010 killing over 200,000 people and leaving over 1 million Haitians homeless. Sarkozy is the first French head of state to come to Haiti since a slave revolt brought independance to the country over 200 years.
