L.A. Police Department Pays Homage To Fallen Officers

LAPD Detective Abiel Barron, 49, died in a traffic collision on June 25, 2003 and Officer Ricardo Lizarraga, a 31-year-old rookie, was shot and killed February 20, 2003 while responding to a domestic violence call. Only a few days ago, a funeral was held for California Highway Patrol Officer Thomas Steiner, who was shot three times outside a Pomona, California courthouse where he had testified in five traffic cases.
